How to Configure the Home Page

It is very simple. You only need to edit file home.php to configure the home page. You do not need any programming skills to do it. Indomagz has 4 different areas for the home page. This picture will help you to more understand it.

IndoMagz Home Page1. Featured Category

Find this code,

<?php $cat_featured=1; ?>
<?php $num_featured=1; ?>

You can change the value of cat_featured with your featured category ID and num_featured with number of posts will be shown.

2. Left Category

Find this code,

<?php $cat_left=1; ?>
<?php $num_left=1; ?>
<?php $latest_left=5; ?>

You can change the value of cat_left with category ID, num_left with number of posts that will be shown with thumbnail pictures, and latest_left with number of posts will that will be shown in an unordered list.

3. Right Category

Find this code,

<?php $cat_right=1; ?>
<?php $num_right=1; ?>
<?php $latest_right=5; ?>

You can change the value of cat_right with category ID, num_right with number of posts that will be shown with thumbnail pictures, and latest_right with number of posts will that will be shown in an unordered list.

4. Gallery Category

Find this code,

<?php $cat_gallery=1; ?>
<?php $num_gallery=3; ?>

You can change the value of cat_gallery with category ID, num_gallery with number of posts that will be shown with thumbnail pictures.

We have two different size of thumbnail pictures (125×125 and 200×150). You should read How To Add Thumbnail Using Custom Fields.

    Hello,

    Nice template, one question. What if I don’t want a thumb image to be shown on the cat left and cat right? I changed the value to 0 but that didn’t work. It showed all the latest post show up when the value was zero.

    any help would be appreciated.
